A series of hand painted & embroidered paintings and drawings that began in 2019 and came to a form in 2022, available in different sizes.

These pieces are available to collect for a limited period of time, closing at 11 PM IST, 30th December 2022. Each collected piece of original Artwork comes in a cushioned Royal velvet box with gold clasp used for generations to store precious jewelry. Each piece comes with an artwork label, an authenticity certificate and artwork signed on the back by the Artist.

Collected artworks will be shipped to be collector in after allocation of full payment.

Charuka Arora

Charuka Arora is an Indian artist whose been internationally popular for her contemporary embellished paintings. Since her generative work as a fashion student at Domus academy, Milan. Charuka’s production has been boundary−redefining in nature. Working primarily in gouache, collage, embroideries, painting and drawing, Charuka explores the overlap between art, culture, heritage & womanhood. Constantly, making an effort to create pieces of an Heirloom that can be adorned on walls for generations. She constantly returns to her foundational materials & interests, which she reworks to develop an innovative visual language.

Hand Embroidered Paintings

In this new series of Charuka’s Paintings (2022), the layering, meditative patterns, embellishments & compositions recall the rich craft & vibrancy of her last series “HERILOOMS” .
Drawing influence from Indian history its fashion, culture and rich craft and textiles. as well as the compositions and rapturous colour of Indian royalty.

Detailed, minutely embellished and soft brushstrokes are organised into patterns & compositions that form seemingly captivating ornaments. These ornamental compositions seem to appear seamlessly as if inviting a viewer into the paintings’ mysterious depths.

RANI means Queen. Hence, each necklace aka HAAR appearing to Charuka during this production brings back to her moments of everyday women celebrating herself and adoring her soul & inner strength. Bearing unequivocally powerful titles like Maharani Haar and Jodha Haar evoke celebration in unity with the fealress Maharani’s from Hindu mythology.

Format

RANI originates from the stunning panels of Charuka’s ‘Heirloom’ Paintings (2019), immersing viewers in his world of beauty, womanhood & Heritage.

The RANI series currently features 15 works in different sizes and mediums. The utlimate MAHARANI HAAR is the queen of queens is adorned with kundans on oil paintings and is priecd at 900$. There are 6 beautifully Panelled work , titled and numbered, approx measure 21 x 29cm cm, and are priced between 600-700$ each. The other smaller works and other drawings are also available for about 200$.

Each painting has been signed and titled by Charuka . The paintings are on cardled panel & water color paper embellished with embroideries collected from varied parts of India.

How does shipping work?

All the RANI’s can be shipped internationally. Shipping can be arranged directly in consultation with the collector.

All RANI’s will be shipped from India to their new homes.The prices indicated for RANI’s are exclusive of delivery charges, insurance or any customs or import duties or local taxes that may be payable. Where such duties or taxes are payable in respect of any works ordered, we do not collect and pay them on your behalf. You are responsible for paying any amounts due directly to the applicable customs authority.
